On May 7, 2005 the Club held its annual meeting and dinner graciously hosted by Vice Commodore & Mrs. William Ewing III at the shore station of his yacht, ALTHEA. After the report of the Nominating Committee, the following officers were elected for the upcoming season: Commodore, James G. Binch; Vice Commodore, William Ewing, III; Rear Commodore, Harry T. Rein. The date for the 2006 Annual Meeting was set for April 22nd.

At the 2004 Annual Meeting RCOM Ewing, Chairman of the NCYC Uniform Standards Committee, reported that a new Club Tie had been developed, and he presented to the meeting a prototype which had been crafted by the preeminent cravatiste, Beau Ties of Vermont. The meeting approved by acclamation and adopted the new tie as the NCYC Club Tie. This tie (depicted above) has been manufactured is now in inventory.
